Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE is coming to HBO Max - Insider folks

Zack Snyder’s JUSTICE LEAGUE is coming to HBO Max – Insider folks, Warner Bros also revealed that director Zack Snyder ‘s version of the “Justice League” will be broadcast on HBO Max in 2021.

Snyder is the only credited director of the 2017 superhero film, but he left in post-production, after his daughter’s suicide, with “Avengers” director Joss Whedon entering to write and shoot new material.

The subsequent film received negative reviews and under-performed at the box office, leading to corporate upheavals at DC Comics and forcing the studio to concentrate on stand-alone projects rather than massive crossovers.

Around the same time, # ReleaseTheSnyderCut has become a popular social media hashtag, with several movie stars joining, and WarnerMedia is eventually responding. The studio is also likely to be able to see a fresh supply of material that has already been shot for HBO Max, though COVID-19 has caused a pause in film and TV output. (The HBO-and-more streaming service will be launched next week)

It’s not clear what form the release will take — according to The Hollywood Reporter, it could be a single film of almost four hours, or it could be broken down into six chapters. Apparently, the estimated cost is between $20 million and $30 million.

“I want to thank HBO Max and Warner Brothers for this noble act of promoting artists and encouraging their true dreams to be achieved,” Snyder said in a tweet. “A huge thank you to all those participating in the SnyderCut campaign for making this a reality.”

Personally, I was a little cynical about the outrage of social media, partly because I liked the new iteration of the “Justice League” just fine, given its apparent flaws; partly because Snyder’s previous film “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” was almost unobservably bad; and partially because it’s getting boringly predictable for indignant viewers to call for a new version of a movie or a Television series they didn’t want.

Nevertheless, it’s hard not to feel compassionate to a director who only needs to show his dream, particularly when the job was destroyed by tragedy. And I can’t hide that I’m curious about this. And get the Snyder Break.
