According to a hospital coronavirus study in China’s Wuhan, about 90 percent of COVID-19 patients treated in the city had lung damage, while five percent had quarantine again after a positive check for a highly infectious disease.
Physicians at Zhongnan Hospital conducted a health research study of around 100 patients recovered and found that 90% of them had damaged their lungs.
The team of doctors clarified that the breathing and gas distribution mechanisms of their lungs have not yet healed and are only functioning as those of a single person.

A total of 79,047 people were discharged after treatment, and 4,634 died of the disease in the mainland, the NHC said.
