Two Worst COVID – Impact Cities, Delhi & Chennai On Their Way to Recovery As Infections Slow Down – Insiderfolks, The number of COVID-19 cases in Delhi is reportedly 1,39,156, the fifth-largest among the states and the lowest among the cities.

Yet there is some positive news about the national capital. Over the past 24 hours, Delhi has reported 674 new cases of coronavirus, one of the lowest over months.

The three-figure count for new cases was registered on a day when the overall number of tests carried out was 9,295, according to the Delhi Health Department bulletin.

While 12 deaths have been registered in the last 24 hours, the lowest number of deaths announced by Covid-19 per day in the national capital since the death figures were updated by the authorities in June.

As of Tuesday the number of registered cases in Delhi was 9897. The rate of recovery of national capital is 89.98 percent.

Lower than 10,000 cases of Covid operating in Delhi. It is the product of the joint efforts of the Delhi Government, institutions and people, CM Arvind Kejriwal said hailing residents for their commitment to the Delhi Model for Combating COVID and urged them not to be complacent.

“Happy that our Delhi Model is being recognised around the globe. I want to thank South Korean Ambassador H.E. Shin Bong-kil for his inspiring words. Both nations coming together to fight Covid are in need of the hour,” he said in another tweet.

The Chief Minister shared a video of the South Korean Ambassador to India, Shin Bong-kil, praising the Delhi Model to Fight the Covid 19 Pandemic.

South Korean Ambassador to India Shin Bong-kil said, “I am very impressed with the Delhi model. The Korean model is 3Ts i.e. monitoring, tracking and care, the Delhi model is a check and home quarantine. This is a very successful and wise step. I would like to congratulate the Delhi Government on its achievement.”

Though Tamil Nadu, with the second-largest caseload of viruses in the country after Maharashtra, has continued to record more than 5,000 cases of the state capital Chennai is facing a decline in new cases.
