The first place in the International Food Photo Contest went to a photograph of a kebab vendor from Kashmir. Debdatta Chakraborty, an Indian photographer, is credited with capturing the award-winning scene in her camera. She was named Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2022 for her photograph of a street seller in Srinagar, Kashmir. Kebabiyana is the name of the picture. It depicts a kebab vendor in a smoky eatery. As he caters to his meat kebabs on a coal-lit BBQ setup, he is surrounded by smoke.
A photograph of a kebab vendor taken in Kashmir has won the International Food Photo Contest.
The photograph was taken in Srinagar’s Khayyam Chowk. Caroline Kenyon, the creator and director of Pink Lady Meal Photographer of the Year, stated that the winning image “beautifully caught the billowing embrace of the smoke, the golden light, and the subject’s emotion as he prepares the food for sharing.”
“Sparks fly from the skewers, the roasting of which we can almost smell, and we envision the warm, wonderful scent.” “This soft but strong image nurtures our spirit,” Kenyon added.
The announcement of the winners of the International Food Photo Contest was live broadcast on YouTube. The winners were revealed by Monica Galetti, restaurant owner, and Masterchef judge.
The Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition was established in 2011. The Awards, which are open to both professionals and amateurs, young and old, highlight the finest in culinary photography and cinematography from across the world.
