‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ surpasses ‘Avatar’ to become the third-highest-grossing film of all time in the United States – Insiderfolks.
Sony Pictures Spider-Man: No Way Home officially eclipsed Avatar’s lifetime domestic total on Monday (February 14) to become the third highest-grossing picture of all time in North America, the company said Tuesday (February 15).

No Way Home earned $1.615 million on Monday, its 60th day of release, bringing its domestic total to $760.988 million. Avatar grossed a total of $760.508 million in North America over the course of its run: $749.766 million from its initial release plus $10.741 million from a “Special Edition” re-release in August 2010.
No Way Home has grossed over $1.8 billion worldwide, with overseas markets accounting for $1.047 billion of the total (the film has yet to see a release in China).
Tom Holland, who starred in No Way Home, will next be seen in Sony’s Uncharted, an adaptation of the PlayStation video game Naughty Dog. Last weekend, the picture grossed $21.5 million in 15 outside regions, and it will be released in North American theaters on Friday.
Morbius, starring Jared Leto, will be released on April 1 as part of Sony’s Marvel Universe.
